Summary Report: Study on Civil Society Participation in Global Fund Coordinating Mechanism. This report, published in February 2010, summarizes the findings, conclusions and recommendations of a study by the Civil Society Action Team
(CSAT) into the quantity and quality of civil society involvement in the Country Coordinating Mechanisms
(CCMs) of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (the Global Fund). As an advocacy tool,
this report aims to inform and guide decisions by relevant global policy-makers, including within the Global

A number of reports have analyzed Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCMs) and other components of Global Fund grant application and management mechanisms. The Global Fund recently published a report on CCMs, Lessons Learned in the Field - Health Financing and Governance: A Report on the Country Coordinating Mechanism Model.
Civil Society and the Global Fund: Grant Performance Workshop is a detailed analytic workshop report aimed at sharing experiences and lessons learned among community organizations in the Central and West African region that have experience with various aspects of Global Fund grant applications and management.
Community Systems Strengthening Analysis Framework provides analysis and guidance on how to prepare the community systems strengthening component of a Global Fund Grant application. Key components include gap analysis, prioritization, objective setting, and operational planning.
Access to Technical Support: An Assessment of Technical Support to Civil Society Organizations Involved in Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Programs in Armenia, Belarus, Tajikistan (2009) is a joint report from the CSAT- Eastern Europe and Central Asia hub and the Eurasian Harm Reduction Network. It evaluates the range and quality of technical support providers in the referenced countries, particularly as it relates to civil society participation on CCMs and as Principal and Sub-Recipients of Global Fund grants.
